Siebra, I tried to put this on your blog about 500 murders in Chicago this year, but anywhere I click on that blog it takes me to the news site that has the video. Very strange.
This is disheartening. And the more so when someone like Jesse Jackson will give a simplistic answer like gun control. What is needed is to rebuild our communities so there would be less cause for violence. But this is a much tougher job than just passing more gun control legislation and then saying we've done our job. Even if there war zero guns on the street there would still be killing. Darrien Albert was killed with a 2x4.
Rahm Emmanuel seems much more interested in the sugar content of soft drink vending machine than he does the homicide rate...
Most of gun violence in Chicago occurs with illegally-owned guns. The southside and certain "pockets" elsewhere in Chicago are poverty-stricken, have serious drug dealing problems, and of course are run by gangs. Plus Chicago doesn't have enough police. This is why there's such a problem with guns.

Steve, the problem lies in the video...I discovered most NBC Chicago videos are like that...anywhere I click on that blog it redirects you to their official website...
