You may not have ANY milk as milk prices could double in January 2013. This has been the warning signs hanging on since October 2012. The cause of possible prices doubling will due in case Congress has NOT renewed The Farm Bill. If the bill is not renewed by the end of year the price of milk may double. This means it could that milk could be at least $6.00 a gallon! Of course, this also means that big spending bill on food and grocery prices at the store as the average American already spends 10.6% on their dairy products. The Farm Bill currently regulates the price of milk and without the bill passing; you’ll find a double dose price, or no milk in the refrigerator. Milk and milk by-products would also feel the precious double effect as many businesses use milk in making their products. A Bloomberg report stated that Americans could pay between 3 and 4 percent more for food in 2013 according to data presented from The Department of Agriculture. Would you like to pay for your milk in paper or plastic?
