A Point To Ponder: Take Control (682 hits)

For successful weight loss and long-term weight management, it is important that you always take control over your daily eating and physical activity habits. Remember, to lose weight you must create deficits between the calories you consume and the calories you burn. For long-term weight management, you must balance the calories you consume with the calories you burn, indefinitely.

View your daily calorie intake as a personal budget that you get to spend however you choose each day. If you've created a deficit by accumulating a sufficient amount of physical activity, you can increase your daily calorie intake. However, if you've created a surplus due to a lack of physical activity, you'll have to reduce the amount of calories you consume for that day. Weight management is all about choice. Think before you eat and make an effort to be physically active whenever possible.
