TRUE LIFE SITUATIONS: "The Dread of Family Holiday Gathering" (388 hits)
Let's deface the dread; there's certainly a jovial, joyful and cheeful time in getting together with family and having food, conversations and interactions. I discovered while at a Thanksgiving celebration program in which the speaker of the hour noted that many family members actually dread gaterings of the family. The speaker noted that it's usually because families are torn apart and are not showing any process of healing rather it be mental, physical, and reasons for division. Families suffer from any number of reasons to dread coming together. Some families do not associate at all with their immediate familes for any reason, holiday or otherwise. It's a true life situation all families are not in unity. Yet, I feel it will not happen if the family cannot start a process to find ways in which they all can get along. Whether it's forgiving each other, trying to communicate with each other, leaving out negative aspects which has caused division will take cooperation and renewing the family love and kindness. The dread will continue in families as long as there's nothing being done to find a solution. It should be a pleasant experience to have family around you. If there is dreading quality evaluation to get along will remove the dread and begin the happiness families should really have. That's how I feel about it. I keep working at restoring and keeping my family surrounded in love. You can try if you're one dreading family associations.
