Canada (TORONTO, Ontario)– A twelve-year-old in Ontario cannot go on a school field trip without parental permission, or drink alcohol without a parent present. They won’t be able to drive, buy cigarettes, or vote for years. But they can get an abortion all on their own, without their parents ever knowing.
Private abortion facilities across Ontario advertise with pride that they will perform abortions on girls under 16 without informing their parents.
Because Canada’s laws do not stipulate an age of consent for abortion, the only places where parental notification or consent might be required are in hospitals, and even that is dependent on the individual hospital’s policy.
The Women’s Care Clinic in Toronto, for example, is unapologetic about the fact that they would refuse to give any information to parents of girls as young as 14, or even younger.
“I’m only 14 can I still have an abortion at your clinic?” their FAQ asks. “Yes, we do not discriminate by age and we do NOT require consent for our clients who are under the age of 18.”
“Furthermore, we do not tell your parents any information even if they call our facility inquiring about your whereabouts.”
Similar statements can be found on the websites of The Morgentaler Clinic, the Scott Clinic, Choice in Health, and others.
According to Alissa Golob, head of Campaign Life Coalition Youth, the lack of parental notification requirements is a “s*x-abuser’s dream.”
“They can abuse and impregnate as many young girls as they want and cover it up by getting free and legal abortions,” she explained.
“You can’t let a teenager see an ‘R’-rated movie because of gore or violence, but you can permit them to have the ultimate gore and violence inflicted on their unborn child through abortion at any age and that’s okay,” she observed.
Golob concluded, saying that the situation shows that “education is essential, especially to the youth of our nation, to prevent them from making a mistake they will regret for the rest of their lives.”
Shows me that many parents may be out of sink with their daughters. Families and or parents need a closer bonding when it comes to knowing their relatives and their whereabouts. Young daughters must be well attended to as they require constant observances of their activities. Second that... That's crazy!

I 3rd that notion~ Ha! It's something how unrighteous, wicked people in positions of authority (Govt, Health Care, Religion, School) that continue to pull apart the fabric of society. There is so much going on, eh!
We need to come together as parents and common everyday citizens to stop this nonsense work at the vital fabric of humanity pulling one by one the threads in the guise of freedom of choice and women's choice. Parents need to make sure they are in the 'loop' as much as possible especially in their child's Schools. It’s funny that I have my son in Catholic school and the System claims that we are a community partnership, but clearly the System expects that when I drop him off for school that he's theirs for the day ( so I'm not to interfere in any way)!
I’m not intentionally attempting to change the topic; however, I believe this fits the theme (exclusion of Parental Authority Oversight over Children) now that I think about it. I have my little one enrolled in French language classes for which I’d had challenges helping him with homework since it’s in French. Being the ever proactive parent that I am, called the coordinator of to ask if work could be sent home in English as well as French so that I (The Parent) could help my little one. Instead of encouraging and praising me for being involved, the woman comes off talking down to me and was attempting to tell me my Job as “The Parent” (is how she referred to me).
So she (this so called coordinator) goes on to tell me MY JOB AS THE PARENT IS TO ENSURE THAT the Child (oh by the way who is in 2nd grade and is a BOY) does the homework. OK---- so I waited until she was finished with her chastisement and asked, “How do I--- THE PARENT know whether or not the CHILD'S homework is done correctly?!!! I made the statement to the so "The System (even in Catholic school’s) also separates “The Child” from “The Parent "?
What is wrong with this picture?! Since when does “The Child” let alone a 12 year girl know what the long term detrimental mental health, spiritual, emotional and physical effects of abortion will be and how long they will last? That’s what I call the generational effect… for 10 generations. As Parents, we MUST open our eyes to see clearly what this World System is even the System of the School & TAKE back our children!!! The System subtly undoes the teaching with worldly ideas if we aren’t careful to find out what is being taught so that we can replace lies with Truth. Truly I'm astonished!
