MEDITATE SUNDAY: USING ANOINTMENT OF OILS (136 hits)

MEDITATE SUNDAY: USING ANOINTMENT OF OILS

Greetings in Grace and Love!

Meditation time is very important part of worship, prayer and exaltation. It should be treated in the same manner of execution. This is the building of a thought process and is a most unique relationship you are building your foundation of faith, love and bonding with the Lord. If you wish using oils to enhance your meditation gives a greater respect of anointing your presence before Him. You must realize oils of anointing one-self are centuries old and it not a fad or the newest in thing to do. In general today, the deepest meditation of the Word is practiced with the use of olive oils, but there are fragant oils as well. There are many oils and different name brands, and there is not any difference when it is really your meditation that pleases God. You can use the oils on a clean washed face, your hands and feet are most common areas. However, depending on how you want to anoint your body is entirely up to you-- when you are in the privacy of your own quarters. Apply the oils as liberally as you feel is necessary; and intake your thoughts into a spiritual connection of Word and worship before the Lord of Heaven. You will allow the Holy Spirit to take control of your thoughts, prayers, and worship of songs and thus having a pleasing meditation which God may find acceptable. Remember, do not put on an act, but be devoutly sincere with love when you have your special meditation using oils. Prepare a fragrant meditation of spiritual commitment and the Word of God is your meditation. This is true before the Lord.

“And behold, a woman in the city who
was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus
sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house,
brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil..
an stood at His feet behind Him weeping;
she began to wash His feet with her tears, and
wiped them with hair of her head, and she
kissed His feet and anointed them with fragrant
oil.”
[Luke: 7: 36-38]

What an excellent example to the use of oils! Hers was shown as one true in spiritual execution of faith, trust, worship and commitment. Many times it is all neglected that many today do not practice a deep meditation such as this one. Thus, often we wonder why we lose out on having stronger faith and trust and often many are sick and have not the total spiritual relationship offered from God’s amazing grace. “Let us meditate on things such as these.”

“Let the words of my mouth the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy site O’Lord my strength and my redeemer.”
[Psalm: 19:14]
