BACKSTAGE: PATTI LaBELLE SETTLES IN LAWSUIT WHICH WILL BE USED FOR CHARITY
Songtress Patti Labelle has agreed to a settlement complaint which involved a mother and her 18 month old girl. The complaint was stated in a report that LaBelle verbally and physically assaulted the mother and daughter in a Manhattan apartment building lobby where they all have residency. The case was scheduled for a November 2012 trial, but each side requested to dismiss the trial for the settlement of One-hundred thousand dollars. LaBelle was accused of yelling, screaming obscenities and throwing water on the mother and daughter and attempting to strike them to physically injure them on November 11, 2010. Sources stated that LaBelle was irate that the child was wandering around in the lobby unattended. The family has decided to donate the settlement to charity along with the family’s lawyer fees which he has decided to also donate.
Hoping that money is truly used for a good charity... "That's all.."
