FIREWORKS DISRUPTS CHURCH FESTIVAL IN SPAIN (612 hits)

The town of Elche, Spain hosted it's annual town's festival as thousands gathered to celebrate. Suddenly a fireworks launcher accidently ignted and exploded in the bell town of the town's church which caused mahem. Exploding fireworks were being kept at the main bell tower were bundled in a pack and were meant to shoot mini-rockets into the air before exploding only got an early accidiential lighting which injured at least 20 people. Local news in Spain said a firework had been fired elsewhere landed in the bell tower which set off the explosion of the mini-rockets. Many of the injured were transported to the hospital with serious to minor burns. Locals said fireworks managers were the most affected with few civilvians having received any injury. The mayor of the town Mercedes Alonso made a public apology and noted he was glad there were no cases of tragedies.
