LATEST JOB REPORT SUGGESTS AMERICANS ARE GIVING UP ON HIRES (1192 hits)

The new report from the Labor Department said that the economy added 163,00 jobs in July. The same report also indicated that the jobless rate has 12.8 million Americans still out of work. The employment rate rose to 8.3 percent from a slightly lower rate of 8.2 percent in June. This; according to financial experts has the Labor Department giving a signal that more Americans may have given up looking for employment.
This latest report stated that with 163,000 jobs added it is far from enough to jobs to give much hope in finding jobs. With job openings there is certainly still many lay-offs and depletion of current job status. This employment report came following a report from the U.S. Central bank that a new major support would be on its way. Financial experts claim the economy is growing, but not steadily enough and at a very slow rate to bring down unemployment speedily.
And in today's NY Times a front page story showed how large corporations and deferring hiring, expansion and major projects BECAUSE our Congress is too dysfuncitonal to take any action that might help the economy.
One political party deserves the blame for the inaction of our government.
