Dear Gardeners:
The peak of summer is nearing its close in August and you can began looking ahead for next year's garden. It's been an rather exceedingly summer of heat, rain and drought and perhaps maybe your flowers plants, or vegetables garden didn't fair as you expected. I've found I suffered little growth in many of my flowers especially with hot days of July, and now August is starting off with a heat wave. But I remain optimistic. I did enjoy my summer's porch when it wasn't invaded by my son and his friends. I had a fuss because they would leave paper everywhere! Anyway, my son has experienced woes with that weed-eater trimmer. After all the discussion to purchase one, he's had trouble with replacing parts of it all summer long--yet the lawn mower gave us no problems that is; until he left the grass catcher at one of his client's home and couldn't remember where it was until he called and inquired about it. Du'ugh! We do love our children...
Nevertheless, I have a few plans for planting in mind for next year's planning. It is not too early to give your plans a look now. . Even to what you'll plant, location and early planting for your fall garden. I suggest you visit your library for books on planning a garden if you're new at this. There are many of the books which have excellent tips for fall, spring and summer plants and gardening. If it's vegetables you're looking at, there are also numerous books on planting healthy vegetables which are easily grown. Visit your garden store, and ask and inquire about growing and planning and planting suggestions. There's plenty of information to discover if you're part of a garden club in which shared gardeners know the ropes! You can decide if you want annuals, perinnerials and go with a landscaping your yard now-- if or using pots for your plants and florals can also be planned early. The early you can start plans sometimes makes it much easier to get that needed head start.
