Black men in prison are at increased risk of contracting HIV and other STIs as a result of violent s*xual assault, and are spreding disease through their communities after release. Yet many prisons deny c*ndoms to inmates.
There are many practical methods which I share in my book and in my workshops, which can address these inequities. I feel very passionate about this.
It's not a choice when you are assaulted. Or are you referring to the choices the sistas are making?
The criminalization and incarceration of Black people has been going on since Reconstruction.

Thanks for your comments, Lena.
There is a lot of rape and s*xual assault in prison and the prison authorities use some prisoners to control the others through s*xual force. I am sure there are others who choose to have s*x voluntarily, which is their choice,. If they are refused protection, this affects everyone.
