Assembly bill1081, The Trust act, would require ca. law enforcement officers dealing with illegal immigrants to:
Keep no one on an immigration hold who is eligible for release from criminal costody, unless both of these conditions are satisfied:
1. the individual has been convicted of a violent felony according to a criminal back ground check or documentation provided bu US immigration and customs Enforcement.
2. the continued detention on and immigrntion hold would not violate any federal, state, or locallaw, orany local policy. (smile)
