Essence Atkins, 39, may be having the best holiday season ever. On Christmas Day, she welcomed a healthy baby boy with husband Jamie Mendez. She took to Twitter this morning to share the news. "Found it... our 1st baby, a beautiful healthy boy, was born on Christmas Day! #Blessing," she tweeted. According to the YBF, his name is Varro.
Back in October, ESSENCE.com caught up with Essence to talk about her pregnancy and why she decided to wait to have kids. "All of our friends are like, 'You guys are just getting started while our [kids] are off to college,' but it’s like I lived my life, I’ve taken trips to Paris for just 30 hours and came back, I’ve popped bottles, I’ve done it all, now I’m just ready and looking forward to being a mom."
