Man Charged, Faces Life for White House Shooting (He Deserves a Lifetime to Think About His Stupidity) (498 hits)
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho man accused of firing an assault rifle at the White House believed he was Jesus and thought President Barack Obama was the Antichrist, according to court documents and those who knew him. At one point, he even suggested to an acquaintance the president was planning to implant computer tracking chips into children.
Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez, 21, was charged Thursday with attempting to assassinate the president or his staff. He is accused of firing nine rounds at the White House last Friday night — one of them cracking a window of the first family's living quarters — when Obama and the first lady were away. If convicted, Ortega faces up to life in prison. Ortega was arrested Wednesday at a western Pennsylvania hotel when a desk clerk there recognized him and called police.
According to a court document released after the hearing, authorities recovered nine spent shell casings from Ortega's car, which was found abandoned near the White House shortly after the shooting. An assault rifle with a scope was found inside. A person who knows him subsequently told investigators that he had become increasingly agitated with the federal government and was convinced it was conspiring against him, the .....
Brother Rich, I second that notion! He's a lunatic and a nutjob with many screws loose. I can't understand for the life of me how individuals like these can get a hold of guns. It's like the article you posted regarding convicted fellons having problems finding jobs, but not guns. It's definitely a matter of where this nation places its priorities, eh? I suppose the rationale behind fellons getting guns in so that they can eliminate one another from the face of the planet; therefore, eliminated the need for further imprisonment at the taxpayers' expense. That's like the crime in inner cities and urban areas like South Side of Chicago where people keep killing themselves. One can find a liquor store on any corner in these poor neighborhoods not to mention a Chinese Restaurant. I digress.
I'm really disgusted that someone could shoot at the White House where those little girls might have been walking or running around. What kind of world are we living in? Of course I know the answer. I just felt like asking it (the question) to help myself. God protect the President and his family. I cover them all with the Blood of Jesus.
This man wants people to believe he's crazy by referring to himself as the modern-day Jesus then he has the audacity to beg Oprah to give him an interview??? OH PLEASE!!!
He isn't crazy...that bastard knew what he was doing...and guess what? Since he's brown he's never going to see the light of day...
"I" believe the courts will have to do as the doctors says with this case. Today it seem the only way someone can get badly needed mental health care is to prove they are harmful to self / others...
