Virginia Union University (VUU) crowns Mr. and Miss VUU (1375 hits)
It had all the pomp and regal splendor of an English Coronation southern style. The men were dashing in their black suits or tuxedos. The women were simply beautiful in evening gowns of various hues and styles. Yes, this was a coronation and evening to remember.
The venue was VUU’s Coburn Chapel that many say strongly resembles a castle with its exquisite stone-work; grande arches; stained-glass windows and restrained ambience. The chapel’s interior was dimly lit suggesting this was a place of reverence - a place where serious people came to conduct serious business. Tonight, they came for the changing of the guard. It was a ceremony designed to say ’thank you’ to those who had carried the mantle quite admirably during the past year and were now passing the torch to the school’s new student leaders. see more http://www.examiner.com/african-american-c...
