[..."we can learn from anybody..." We have many, many successful people we can learn from in our own community, who reflect us culturally. We need to learn from the experts.]

Of course we do need to learn from White people as we should be willing to learn from anybody who has demonstrated success as you have stated in your blog. As for the person you spoke with that commented that we need to learn from White people, I honestly think that individual meant that in his/her view these are successful people with success stories that we could all benefit from their strategies.

By the way, that's a super fabulous photo of you! The other one didn't do you any justice sister.

He actually said we need to "think like white people", which I don't agree with.
