Few realize that the groundwork for an overcoming lifestyle begins in their prayer closet. Not only is it the place of training and preparation, but it is also the place of overcoming. Battles rage across the earth for the hearts of men and women, and those battles are being fought in the spirit long before they manifest in the natural. The spiritual realm is the causal realm. We must learn to prevail in the spirit if we are to impact this world for Christ. When more Christians learn to master the art of intercession, the struggles that steal the souls of humanity need not manifest at all.
The issue is not the power of our God, but how disciplined and prepared we are to win the battles of our spiritual war in prayer. (The Art of War, p. 17-18.) You have a powerful voice in the spirit—use it to enforce truth and victory wherever you see the enemy gaining ground. May God show you where and how to target your prayer so that His light neutralizes every dark and hidden operation of the enemy. Remember, "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12).
Ephesians 6:11-12, 18 MSG: Take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels. Prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long.
The power of prayer is such a sweet hour.

I love the prayer and have many manuals on prayer particularly warfare with the strategies to use regarding different issues. For me, prayer is a necessity just like breathing, eating, and sleeping. I can't do without it!
