Ask What You Desire (2074 hits)

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” (John 15:7, NKJ)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
It pleases God to give you the desires of your heart! He wants to see you happy, whole, strong and enjoying His blessing. When you make the Word of God your number one priority, when you stay connected to Him through prayer and worship, God promises that He will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4 tells us again that if we delight ourselves in Him, He will give us the desires of our hearts. One of the root definitions of the word “delight” means “soft.” This gives the picture of us being soft and moldable, like clay, in the Potter’s hands. As we allow Him to shape and mold our character, as we yield ourselves to Him, our thoughts become His thoughts, our words become His Words, and our desires become His desires! That’s how we can ask whatever we will because our will is in alignment with Him!

Today, don’t allow the distractions of everyday life keep you from spending time with Him. Abide in Him and let His Words abide in you because He will give you the desires of your heart!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, today I submit every area of life to You. I invite You to have Your way in my heart. Mold me and make me as I surrender every area of my life to You. I praise You and give You all the glory. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Oh yes, God's Word is so relevant in these trying times and He's still interested in giving HIs people the desires of our hearts if we would only spend time with Him. God is indeed a Good Father and as every good father wants to give their children good gifts... the same holds true with God. We need to hear more messages like that of Pastor Joel and his wife Victoria Olsteen that encourage us and give us hope which is why I've started posting their devotionals here.

I am preparing myself by sharpening my skills on utilizing office software, phones and refreshing mind with the new technology. Hello Ms. Jen,

Okay Ms. Jen, what is the desire of your heart that would cause you to go to God to have it done?

Now, if you put yourself in the children of Israel's place because neither the children of Israel and you had a country of their own, am I right.
Now, it came a time that the children of Israel wanted sovereignty and a country of their own, right?
We see the children of Israel had enough sense to understand their plight of not being a people with a country of their own and imposed on God to deliver them from their unrighteous bondage and slavery, right?

So, what is the desire of your heart? Is it like the desire the children of Israel had that God delivered them bondage and slavery to a country of their own and made a nation out of the children of Israel?
If you can not identify with the children of Israel to want what they wanted and got from God I must regrettably say Ms. Jen Fad that you are a dummy. So, what is the desire of your heart Ms. Fad?

What say you?

Hello Ms. Jen,

Let me say these few words about my so-called insulting you.

My post is asking you what your heart’s desire is because you never said what your heart's desire was, am I right.

Now, how can asking you what is your heart's desire be an insult is beyond me? Anyway, I went on to say that if your heart's desire is not the same as the desire of the children of Israel to have their Promised Land then I must regrettably say that you are a dummy, Ms. Jen.
Remember that the children of Israel were in bondage and slavery and their desire was to be out of this dreadful condition, am I right. And, Black Americans are in bondage and subjugation in White America as the children of Israel were in Egypt 4000 years ago.

Consequentially, you cannot be a dummy until you say what your heart’s desire is, am I right. So, how you come to feel that I was insulting you baffle me. I know that we as a people are not thinking people. We are a people that are always defensive. We feel like we are being attacked all the time. We are a frightened people and mentally messed up.

Anyway, let's get back to being serious. What is your heart’s desire for yourself and Black Americans?

It just amazes me that you would go straight to the word a dummy and get thrown off when you should have concerned your self with the question, what is your heart's desire. Am I making any sense with you?

Tell me what you think.
