My friend and co-worker Bru Edwards, from my former company passed away last night of a massive heart attack, as you can imagine I am totally distraught by this soul wrenching news my heart especially aches for her children and husband. Bru was only 51 years old and leaves behind her husband and three children the oldest only 15 years old.
My heart breaks for her kids and her husband. I have wonderful memories of working with Bru. I'm still in shock with the news. Another girlfriend from our old company called me at work. I just can't believe it. I'm praying for her children and her husband. It's difficult to accept but as the Bible says, Tomorrow is not promised to us.
Two songs came to mind when I heard this news, "My Soul Loves Only You Lord" a testimony to Bru's faith in God and "If I Could Save Time in a Bottle" by the late Jim Croce. Brunilda Edwards: a good Christian Woman, a faithful wife, loving Mother and a Great Friend. I see your beautiful face and still hear your laughter. Miss you and Love you Bru. You are a Sweet Soul gone to Heaven too soon! Folks please tell someone you Love them today. God Bless.
Dear God help Bru’s children to hold onto you in this their time of sorrow & grief.
Today is the day we graduate from the school of hard knocks, cast aside fear and tell that special someone we Love them. Life is short, so let us break free from the prison of fear and hold tight to those who love us. Now is the time for hugs & kisses. Now is the time for consummation of a love long sought & desired. My beloved Dad had a saying, “He who hesitates is lost”. How long will we deny the Blessing that God has put before us afraid to take that leap of faith? Only realizing our mistake when you see God’s blessing in another’s arms.
My girlfriend’s death has made me more serious about my relationship with God and with people. It’s time for me to stop being afraid to share my feelings with those I love be they family or friends.
The love of money and material things is the root of loneliness. Can we put our arms around money? Can it hug us and speak life to us in times of despair? Will money warm our beds at night? Will money celebrate our joys and comfort us in times of grief. No. Only another human being can do that. So what are we all waiting for? What is our relationship with God but our lives shared and intertwined.
I'm really sorry for your loss and my heartfelt prayers go to you as well as the family of your dear late friend, Ms. Edwards. Your commentary was really touched me and I have been letting the people in my life know how much I love them since that dreadful day in September 2001. Life is truly short and we must cherish each moment to the fullest. I hope that your friend's memory and the moments that you shared will live on in your mind forever. God bless you.

Thank you. They will. I still see her warm wonderful smile and I can hear her laughter. Memories are forever. May her children and husband hold onto that good part of Bru so that they may go forward into the future.
