AP - Every day for two years, he carried the toxic burden of a name that meant fraud to the world. On Saturday, the eldest son of disgraced financier Bernard Madoff hanged himself in his Manhattan apartment, another casualty in the saga that sent his father to prison and swindled thousands of their life savings.

Bernard Madoff, serving a 150-year prison sentence will not be attending the funeral out of consideration for his daughter-in-law and his grandchildren's privacy," lawyer Ira Sorkin told AFP.
Mark Madoff, 46, hanged himself on Saturday, the second anniversary of his father's arrest for the biggest pyramid scheme in US history. Although no criminal charges had been filed against Mark Madoff, he was being sued in a civil action by the US trustee trying to recover money for victims of his father's fraud.
Mark Madoff was found hanging by the neck from a dog leash attached to a ceiling pipe in the apartment while his two-year-old son slept in an adjoining bedroom.
Jen, this is so sad. But, lets chant (pray) taht just one person out to cheat the public may just stop and think about what the love of a dishonest $$$$$$$$ can cost them mentally, morally and personally, and realize it is not worth all of this in the end. (smile)
