I recently went away to school. I can't believe I actually did it. I wanted to further my education and realized that if I didn't I would stay stuck in my dead in job. I kept saying hey I'm in my 30's, I want to know what it would be like to go away to school. So I filled out my application to N.I.U. and low and behold I was accepted. I packed up my daughter and we moved to family housing. My Lord what was I thinking LOL. I am young but some of these students here make me feel ancient. Talking about a whole new world, I feel like I'm out of my realm. I am trying to figure out where I fit in. Thankfully I'm not the only non-traditional student here. Man this has been a journey. It is all worth it, because I graduate with my B.A. in 2012 and a sista is excited. Now all I have to do is learn some of these saying cause man I don't what some of them are saying to me, all I do is laugh and say yeah that's what's up LOL!!!!!
