Bishop Eddie Long Says He Doesn't Want His Case Tried By the Court of Public Opinion (331 hits)
but by the court of justice. When Micheal Jackson was accused, he came out and stated that the allegations against him were totally false. Not Bishop Eddie Long, he admitted nothing, but rather said what his the parishioners wanted to hear in order for them to continue to worship him, the Demigod that he's become.
One thing that I can say for the Bishop is that he gave a good performance for the show he put on. With such good acting, why would it even be necessary to come clean or to admit any wrong doing to those thousands who worship him? One parishioner went as far as saying, "I know my Bishop." What? Then another parishioner said she felt something go through her body to hear the Bishop say what? He's not a perfect man? How pathetic.
Brother Richard, His credibility is already shot. His record is stained no matter what. Like michael Jackson, there are always going to be those who say what if he did do it. You're right sister Jen, people put to much faith in the pastor instead of the word being brought forward through the pastor supposedly from God and alot of the times its fake. The bible already tells tells us so we should retain our judgement til the ends results, but we should be open to the possibilities that this could be true. I think we already know in our hearts the answer. I don't see how 4 people who don't even know each other can say the same things happened and even if they didn't he has to prove beyond a shadow of the doubt his innocense and its beyond me how he will accomplish this.

I heard this on the Doug Banks Show yesterday..... 4 young men.... 4 young men... and their pictures were on line... and the photos Bishop Long was sending on his phone.... Point One.... Men/Males are not going to just come out and accuse another man just for the sake of it....
But... let Lady Justice (who's blind.... crazy...racist) preside over this case.... But I tell you... sumn' just ain't rite!!!

@ Brother Rich and Sister Anita~~ I couldn't agree with you guys more. The Bishops reputation is tarnished and whether some of his parishioners will admit it or not, they aren't going to be so free to hand over there young boys to him. I know the truth and so does Eddie Long as well as those boys, and the God he says he serves
@ Sister Irma, You and both know that public opinion can be something else, but in light of the scandals of other Prostestant pastors and Catholic priests the public has every right to be judgemental or fickle.
@ Sister Helen I think the woman who had chills run thru her body was probably having a menopausal moment or the very least she might have needed a shawl to throw over her shoulder because some churches are cold early in the morning~ Ha!
@ David You are right about the Bishop being in the fight of his life; the fight to hold on to his Dynasty that he's built for himself using the parishioners' money and hard earned sweat.
Sister Jen you are too funny LOL . I just had a good gut busting laugh resulting in tears. You have sayings like my grandmother used to have and it just tickles me. But seriously You are so right, if Bishop in the past had admitted to something in his past occurring, he wouldn’t have such a uphill chance of proving his innocence. Instead he denounced homos*xuality vehemitely and now its coming back to bite him in the butt. Me thinks the brother does protest too much! Yes brother Kirkland also had been molested when he was younger and admitted to having issues with it, but it should be told, there are a lot more in the ministry who haven’t admitted to it yet and I feel its just a timebomb waiting to happen, but when it explodes, these righteous parishioners better hold onto their dress hat, because a change is coming!

Cynthia, I so fully agree with you, that governor of the state of South carolina used his states money and plane to fly across states l-i-n-e-s to have s*x with his mistress in south America, his wife divorced him, he neglected his duty as govrnor by lying about how his government staff could contact him...
and, we heard less about him in all of these months on teh mass media than we have heard of the Bishop in whay less than a week?!?
