What Can We Learn from CUJO's Death--I'd like to Share something with this community!!! (453 hits)

www.youtube.com/attorneycharlesmorgan's speech, a time to speak,www.truckerdesiree.com/sammystoryaboutjohncooper,'cujo',r.i.p.
IF ONLY I Had Known! Please readers, from the experiences I am just now coming to terms with surrounding my younger brother's death. I thought it good to share some of what I have discovered that many of you can benefit from.

First, my family as many African American families has a history of colon cancer-one of the dread diseases. Colonoscopy screening is one of the surest ways to monitor your health if you are in a family predisposed to contract this form of cancer. One of John's closest friends, a health care provider had urged him to go for this test sometime before his death. Though we were close as brothers, we did not communicate as much as we had in the past-I live in southeast Alabama, he maybe 400 miles away in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

It had occurred to me as being odd, when I was unable to reach him by telephone, especially around last Thanksgiving, time when our family normally gets together. For some reason because of the several advocacy projects we have going on in Dothan, my wife and I decided to take off and rest. If I had known what I will share in the next blog to prevent this one from being too lengthy, Rest is the last thing that we would have done.

How we miss old 'CUJO'. He seemed to have come equipped with an 'eptitude' to know when someone needed a 'lift', a joke-a laugh-always seeing a positive side to things, no matter what setback was in the mix. How often he or I would call each other after having just crossed each other's mind. See this, too, on facebook. Well, I am going to give him posthumously, a mild scolding if what I am led to believe is true!
Did he leave us after all advice, without a will?my wife-and I- gave on his investments when he sought advice at her Cooper And Associates tax service, Dothan, Alabama-ph 334-446-1283? Will you (no pun) let it happen to you, your survivors if you put money away in favorably tax-treated investments like an IRA or 401K? And what does the IRS rules call for if the account owner dies? The next blog shows you how this situation should be handled. How can survivors access those funds without tax liability, penalty, etc.? That will be answered, too.
