The truth will emerge, but If I have to see any more pictures of Pastor Eddie Long in a muscle shirt, I’m going to jump to the conclusion that he is gay (or at least bi-s*xual) and likes playing with his youth pastors.
Why else would a pastor take pictures of himself in a bathroom mirror, in a muscle shirt, dressed to show his desirability? It’s a selfpic used for s*xual purposes. It says, look at me, I’m s*xy! Well, he is a good looking guy, and fit too. But I have to say, what he’s doing in these pictures does not fit the homophobe personal he projects in church. Does it?
Pastor long plans to address the allegations. Bishop Eddie Long, the powerhouse leader behind the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in suburban Atlanta, issued a statement today again denying that he coerced three teenage boys into s*xual relationships and promising that the "truth will emerge."
"I am anxious to respond directly to these false allegations and I will do so," he said in the statement that was distributed by a publicist. " However, my lawyers have counseled patience at this time."
I can’t wait to hear how he explains his way out of this one.
I pray for Bishop Long, his family, & church either way it turns out. Lord, I pray that it is not true. God is the judge and He definitely can clean up any of our messes. Let's not forget that some of us have some secrets and actions that we have done in the back of the booth, in the dark, the corner, and in the closet. Dont be too quick to judge. Thank God for the Blood!!!

Thanks for the comments here and I think Long should just come clean to his wife if he's guilty and repent to God because the Lord already knows all his secrets. I wonder if he will resign? Probably not, but I think that is what should happen if there is a legitimate board of directors for New Birth. Resigning would be the best thing to do for the sake of the parishners and the overall health of the church.

I'm hearing so many conflicting stories about this. Whether consensual or not, it's intriguing that it took place with this homophobic pastor who says you go to hell if you are gay. And if I recall correctly, Bishop Long ostracized his own son for coming out as a gay man!!!

@ Sister Irma That's funny. I do think that the sistah's feel really bad when they find out that their men are cheating on them with men rather than women. I don't know why, but its a fact. I remember at the family church I attended years ago as a teenager a story of a deacon running off the visiting pastor down to Atlanta leaving his wife and three kids devastated. Yep, she was really embarrassed, but no one said a word like we do in the Black community. We just pretended that it didn't happen.

Yes it is. I got no issues with homos*xuals (to each his own) but I do have major issues with predators that use position to take advantage of those under their care regardless of s*xual orientation. I don't know if the Bishop did it or not but if he did he deserves to be punished.
