After seven months imprisoned in North Korea, American teacher Aijalon Gomes was reunited with his family thisafternoon at Boston Logan Airport.
Last Tuesday, President Carter embarked on a humanitarian mission to obtain the release of Aijalon Gomes, the American teacher who was imprisoned in North Korea seven months ago and sentenced to eight years of hard labor. After two days of talks, President Carter secured Mr. Gomes' release and left Pyongyang Friday morning with other delegates from The Carter Center to accompany Mr. Gomes on the flight home.
The delegation's plane landed at Boston Logan Airport at 2 p.m. today, and Mr. Gomes was reunited with his family in a joyful homecoming celebration. >>>What a sweep escape for him and many bubbles to his family!
