Start Your Ministry Now (406 hits)

If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done. Ecclesiastes 11:4 (NLT) God expects you to do what you can, with what you have, wherever you are.
If you know that the Lord has called you to a ministry then start right where you are. Look for someone near at hand who might benefit from your ministry and start with that one. It might be a member of your own family.

Some people think they can minister to the world and they haven't even been successful in ministering to their own spouse or children. You don't have to look far to find someone who needs ministry.

The first person you see today probably needs ministry! Do you have needs? I'm sure you do. Well then that person also has needs. And who knows, you might just be able to help meet some of those needs.

As you go through the day, make a point of stopping and looking at each person you meet. Ask yourself these questions:

"Does this person have any obvious needs?"

"Am I able to minister to any of those needs?"

"Does the Lord want me to say or do anything?"

You could minister to that person in many ways. Perhaps with a word of encouragement. Perhaps with a compliment. Perhaps with another well placed comment.

Perhaps you need to help them in some tangible way, by giving something. Perhaps just a word of prayer to yourself, asking the Lord to bless them and meet their needs. You will be amazed to find that suddenly you have an active ministry.

There will be no more waiting around for something to happen before you start ministering. And what starts as a small insignificant ministry could suddenly blossom and spring forth. Before you know it you will have more ministry opportunities than you can handle.
