Where can you find God's healing power? (325 hits)
Now comes the manifestation of that healing.
The Lord Jesus heals you, but the Holy Spirit is the one who comes upon you and quickens your body and causes that manifestation of healing to take place.
I love the Scripture from Romans 8:11 which says:
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead lives in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also give life to your mortal bodies by his Spirit that stays in you.
The Holy Spirit lives in you, and you need to utilize His life-giving power in your physical body. He is there to give life to your mortal body.
He is there to give strength and to energize you when you are feeling frail, fragile or weak.
As you receive your healing from the Lord Jesus, know that the Holy Spirit is going to work to bring about a restoration of whatever is wrong in your body.
If you have had a deformity in a bodily organ, He is the one who goes to work to cause that deformity to become right again.
If you are not secreting enough of a particular hormone or enzyme and it is causing ill-health, He is the one who will come upon your glands and cause them to rectify.
In the world you will often find people discussing their doctors and specialists, and comparing notes as to who gives a better service.
Sometimes, in order to obtain the best treatment you have to go to another part of the country, or even a different country altogether.
When you need healing you will leave no stone unturned to find the best possible cure. And if you can afford it, you give no second thought to purchasing the best medical treatment that money can buy.
God has given you a means of healing that bypasses all of the difficulties associated with the normal worldly processes. Here are some of the things that the Lord has given us in Christ:
- We have a doctor who is on duty twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, and who always has time to attend to His patients. His name is Jesus, and He cares for the sick more than any earthly doctor.
- We have a medical dispensary that dispenses the means of healing freely at all times. You won't have wait in long queues to be served, and you won't need any medical insurance to cover the costs.
The power of God's Holy Spirit that brings healing to all is available from within your own spirit as a born again believer.
- You won't have to travel long distances to find the right cure or healer. The Lord is just a prayer away. Nor will you need to seek a second opinion.
He is the one who created you and knows your body better than anyone else in the universe.
Why not lay your hand on the part of your body that is suffering right now, and ask the Lord Jesus to touch you. See the healing power of God flowing out from within your own spirit into your body.
