I'm told that you've pledged to volunteer for candidates and members of Congress who fight for health reform. OFA supporters have now pledged 4 million volunteer hours -- an astounding number that could help us reach out to tens of millions of voters in pivotal races. Thank you.
This strategy of proving that health reform is not just good policy, but also good politics, is crucial to enacting a strong reform bill. And you are making it possible.
It's been a long fight, but your efforts and those of the OFA community have helped us make historic progress. And with your help, we'll finish the job.

While I am not against the president’s health care, I know that it will take more than health care, if you will to resolve permanently the problems of Black Americans in this country of White America.
Ms. Moore you ought to understand Black America’s plight the same as the Hebrew people when they were in bondage in Egypt that God sent to them Moses who led them out of bondage and into their own. The same is going to happen for Black Americans. In other words, Black Americans are going to become a sovereign people or have complete independence from White America on a portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders to pursue life, liberty, happiness and prosperity in our own way.
Now, what are you doing to help the cause of our sovereignty?
Harry, how can Black America become a sovereign people when we still think that someone owes us something and all we have to do is wait for it? GOD HELP THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES. We kill each other, we do no support each other we don't look out for each other, we let our children drop out of school, let them wear their pants at their knees, how can prosperity come from this?
We ought to stop thinking we are seperate from others take charge of our own lives and set about raising the next generation of inventors, doctors, lawyers, teachers and so on.
You asked this question, “Harry, how can Black America become a sovereign people when we still think that someone owes us something and all we have to do is wait for it?”
Ms. Thelma God owes Black Americans our sovereignty as God owed the Hebrew people there Exodus.
