Ask for Spiritual Ears to Hear (190 hits)

Dearly beloved friends, don't always believe everything you hear just because someone says it is a message from God: test it first to see if it really is. For there are many false teachers around, and the way to find out if their message is from the Holy Spirit is to ask:, 1 John 4:1-2...Lord, I know this might sound crass...but did he say those things, in Truth or was he just lusting after a piece of @$$! In the heat of the moment, I never thought to ask...You. God, is this what you would have your beloved do...believe someone whose pride, pain or anger has them confused? Now I'm left feeling used...and abused. Because ignorance was bliss...and my mortal conduct was remiss...when I excepted the role of a mistress. For I chose to lean on my own understanding...instead of Your...commandments. Yes, "hurting people, hurt other people", trying to figure it out. And there are sure to be those who get hurt, in the process, without a doubt. But when we stand before God...it will all boil down to the fact that the choices were ours...to make. For personal responsibility, all of us must take...and casting blame we must forsake. For on Judgment Day...He will require us to except responsibility, for the beds that we made...where we mutually laid. Before we received Christ and got saved...applied wisdom and prayed. We mustn't be tethered to our past sins...because we refuse to take full responsibility for them. True repentance, requires that we recognize our sin. Take responsibility and acknowledge the fact that, we could have simply asked Him...to guard our hearts and minds, from the wilds of married men...and the desire to covet, someone elses husband.
