Why is it that when you express your faith, your spirituality or say something about Jesus/God publicly in conversation or Blog talk, do people want to banish you to a religious group! I am blessed to be a member of more than 20 + social networks and websites, that I contribute to daily or weekly. But recently I have been requested by a few to direct my blog post to faith-based, religious or spiritual groups and today...I am not feeling the reverse discrimination! And I felt moved to stand up for my faith and the expression/promotion/marketing and distribution of it.
I personally, professionally (for this is my career) and Spiritually feel that the word of God and the distribution/promotion/marketing of that should not be restricted or encompassed in a box, limited to one group. The word should be made radially available to the masses for all eyes to see, read and have the option or opportunity to read, whether they seek it our or not (via a group). I don't always want to read about political or social views but America was founded on freedom of speech and I choose to adhere to that premise. When this request has been made to me in the past, I have usually departed, shaking the dust of my feet and moved on, where their are no restrictions to my expression. My faith and belief are, in my opinion, should be able to be voiced freely, just any other subject matter and or content contributed by other members of this or any other social networks. You make the rules here so I have not posted recently. But today is the day I felt moved to stand up for my faith, my work, my opinions and my right to express myself, openly. If this is going to be a problem in the future, I will, willingly remove my profile but I want to let you know, that I will not stand in the corner and be punished for expressing my personal opinions, promoting my faith-based writing career, like all the other Moms who post their, thoughts, comments, opinions, and promotional material here. Thanks for your kind words, your time and interest. May God bless the work of your hands!
