Short and Sweet (85 hits)

And when you pray do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words, Matthew 6:7...but the theatrical production is unnecessary and completely absurd...you don't have to be a prayer warrior to be heard. Just find a quiet place and abide in His grace...there is only so much hot air a God-Man can take...simplify it for God's sake. Just ask for what you need...sitting in your seat or down on your knees. No matter where you are He hears and sees. Whether your eye's are wide open...or searching the room, disparately hoping...to see a sign...and that's no crime. If you set aside blocks of prayer or pray randomly all the time...intimate conversations in your mind. The most important thing...is that you take the time to bring...honest words before the King. And keep it real...prayers aren't graded on skill.

Excellent blog & it's so true that we don't have to be 'long winded' with prayer. Short & sweet is just fine especially when we are in places that don't allow us to pray for one or two hours.
