Widowed After 34 Years-Healing By Helping Other Caregivers and Widows (1822 hits)

Dear Pastors/Leaders;

Thank you for reading my letter. This is not a request for financial support. However, we do need your help. You see, as of October 14, 2009 at exactly 3:34AM I became a widow after 34 years of marriage.

Suddenly, I was reminded of the ministry/the passion God has given to me while going through the process of grieving, paying for, preparing for my husband funeral and looking at a stack of remaining medical bills. And all of the other responsibilities that go along with the lost of a spouse, when the thought came to me that I am not the only wife going through this experience.
• What Is My Passion?
• Teaching/preparing others with the “how-to’s of life. Acts 18:24-28 (Priscilla had the heart of a preparer)
• My Mission?
• To Show Caregivers & Widows how to discover their passion and find a vehicle to help them become fulfilled spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially using education, teamwork, duplication and multiplication.
• What will the audience receive?
• After attending the Caregivers & Widows workshop the audience will be aware of available resources in their immediate surroundings that can assist them in fulfilling their dreams and goals immediately and will be able to help empower other caregivers and widows.
• What have we established?
• The Benjamin Pinkston Memorial Scholarship Fund for my late husband.
• The Nona Patterson Chambers Scholarship Fund/Akoma Choir

Online Workshop Ministry.
• Owner of Pinkston Music Instruction, 11 LaForce St, Rochester, NY (Piano/voice/guitar)
• Author of the article entitled; No, It’s Not Her Time.
• Full time Caregiver of my soon to be 100 year old mother.
• Licensed Evangelist/Teacher involved in the Music and Outreach Ministries with the Faith Covenant National Church of God, 270 Merrimac Street, Rochester, NY.
Affiliate member of the Akoma African American Women’s Gospel Choir. The Choir Scholarship’s Mother; see http://akoma.org.
