A Dream Foreclosed: Heartbreaking Story of Sherri West (301 hits)

The NewYork Times does a excellent job of letting Ms. Sherri West tell the story of how her life changed after a devastating divorce which eventually led to the loss of her business and home. Inspite of West's challenges, she tells how she has stayed positive looking towards the future with her sights and hopes set high on owning her own business and home again. What a power story!!

This is so sad. But it is very inspiring how determined she is to keep going and get back on her feet.

Thanks for your comments Sister Zhana & I agree with you that she is very determined. I know that she will achieve whatever she sets her mind to do.

Tear tear. I read this at work last week and it tore my heart. I always knew that the homeless were more than drug users, prostitutes or "crazy" but as we are seeing now they can be regular people that fall on hard times. Maybe we can make some meaningfull changes to help out.

I know, right. I was talking to a woman from my son's school who was telling me that in NJ where her relatives live, people come and go through the garbage looking for food at night. Now that's real sad.
