There are, I suppose, all these many unknown tongues in the world, and none is destitute of expression and meaning.if some folks can't understand a word that is said But if I do not know the force and significance of the speech (language), I shall seem to be a foreigner to the one who speaks(to me), and the speaker who addresses (me) will seem a foreigner to me., 1 Corinthians 14:10-11...so how can the Good News be...effect...spread......when the Latin and Greek terminology flew right over their heads...along with the traditional hymns and psalms read. All because the translation has no street cred...now a days the Father's sheep go unfed...starved for the bread...of life. As preachers and teachers we were sent here to emulate Christ...go to the ghetto's...speak to the people at their level...of understanding. We need to do what ever it takes for the message to come in for a precise landing. Yes, evangelist should be commanding...the English language...yet fluent in the urban slanguage. Its time to flip the scripture...so the young nonbeliever can get the picture...desire to embrace biblical literature...in its original...form. Until then...the church best get on a hot beat and put a new spin...on the forgiveness of sin...don't pigeon hole Salvation...God got mad love for the hip-hop generation.
Greek won't walk...ya better rap the talk, Mommy Dearest
