HI - I'm a new member to BlackWomenConnect and glad to be here. Before I begin, I've had technical problems with getting my photo to appear, so if it does not appear, I apologize. I believe it's good to be able to match a name with a face, for a better connection. I've sent a message to the site's staff for help and hope to have this issue resolved soon.
I'm very excited in having stumbled across this site. I live in the bay area (California) and have been searching for a place like this to connect with others like me. Like many, I have a full-time job but also trying to build a business of my own. Finding the time to pursue my own dreams is not always easy due to time constraints, but BackWomenConnect appears to be filled with motivated, ambitious, educated and warm spirited individuals and it gives me additional strength. I've seemed to have found another place to make friends, to be a system of support if there is anything I can do, while we are all here to help one another.
At the moment, I'm surfing the site to see what's all here for me to get into. I look forward to 'connecting' with many of you.
Don't want to offend anyone, but WOW!, it's great to see so many African-American people on one accord here. I don't see that too much where I am.
