The great challenge of being satisfied and grateful for what we have already been blessed with in our marriage (133126 hits)
The Brother Marcus Internet Radio Show is on fire again this weekend with another powerful discussion on Greed and Selfishness! Greed is the last of the seven deadly sins and is defined as an inordinate or insatiable desire for wealth, power, food or drink. Greed is also a selfish desire for possessions and wealth beyond reason. When greed is exercised in the American society, it is reflected by division among the people. Some of the questions that we will attempt to deal with this weekend include: What class of people do you and your spouse rub elbows with and like to be seen with? Do you strive very hard not to have any contact with poor people? Does the financial status of other couples determine whether you will be friends with them or not? What do you base a person’s worth on? With the current financial fall of America why are so many spouses and couples still pretending that we can afford to be even a little bit snobbish or bourgeois? How are you defining power in this day and time? Do you have any? Does your spouse have any? Are you and your spouse a power couple? Why or Why Not? Do you believe spouses should leave each other in order to be with others who “look like” they have power? Is greed and selfishness affecting the life of your marriages in any way in 2009? Can you ever win the proverbial rat race and not become a rat?
