“COME FIND ME” (Collabo With Michelle A Lee)
I’m standing out in the open Arms outstretched in the rain Pleading with the heavens “Send that man to find me!” I’m so tired of being alone. I want someone who’ll treat me Just like the Queen I am Who’ll wait on me hand and foot Yet one who will know When to stand firm and make his point To keep me grounded and humble Keep me on the straight and narrow Keep me from falling And catch me when I stumble.
Lord, where is he??? He engulfs my imagination My body sways to the beat of his footsteps And longs to be touched----
By his intellect.
He will respect me as the origin of life Emanated from God's anointed breath. With him, there will be no subservience But rather, willful submission. I shudder at the thought of hearing him Because I still believe in fairytales I recognize I am worth every effort He will make to claim me as his---- An abandoned treasure he sought to discover And love's destiny shall await us As our new happiness begins.
