Why Don't People Listen to Good Advice? (161 hits)

I had a student once who went on a coaching course. One of the other students on the course suggested she should leave her husband due to his drink problem, which was wrecking their marriage.

I can understand her not wanting to leave him.

What I have a problem with is the reason she gave. She told me she refused to listen to this advice because it was not appropriate for him to give it as a coach!

Have you had similar issues? People who can't see the forest for the trees?

Have you been the one who won't take advice?

Let me know what you think.

That's too funny. I always take good advice now that I've matured.

I completely agree with what you have said, Dora. But what I had problems with was her reason for not accepting the advice.
