Do Any Of You Have A Boss That Did Not Like You And Every Chance They Get They Tries To Use Their Authority To Intimidate You.
Well This Is What I Am Facing On My Job With My Boss Right About Now.
The Type Of Job That I Have Is An Out In The Field Type Job And I Do Not Report To The Main Office I Just Call In Every Morning And Let Them Know That I Am At Work.
I Do Not Interact With My Boss Much.
I Only Sees Her About Twice A Month And That Is When We Have Our Motley Meeting And In Those Meetings If I Say Something She Always Trying To Find A Way To Intimidate Me.
This Is What is Going On And Have Been For A Long Time, It Seems Like Every Time I Want To Use My Vacation Time My Boss Always Tells Me That That Particular Day Is Not Available.
Well Today I Asked My Supervisor Could I Have May 21st And 22nd Or If I Could Not Get Both Days, Could I Just Have The 22nd Off So I Could Go To Georgia To Attend My Nieces Graduation.
My Supervisor Told Me At That Point, That I Needed To Call Back And Talk With The Secretary Because She Was The One Who Handled That.
I Did Just As He Told Me.
Therefore, About Time I Thought That The Secretary Had Made It To Work I Called Back.
In addition, Wooden You Know It, The Big Boss Herself Must To Have Got Wind Of I Was Wanting To Take Some Vacation Time.
Into She Was There Waiting On Me To Call.
Moreover, Guess What The Big Boss Told Me.
She Tell Me At The Time That I Know That That Was A Holiday Weekend And That I Could Have The 21st But She Did Not Know About The 22nd And For Me To Call Back On A Later Date To See Was That Day Available.
At That Point I Told Her In A Very Nice Way That It Would Be Ok And That My Niece Would Understand And I Thank Her Anyway.
You Know I Used To Get Angry And React Stupidly When She Or The Supervisors Would Push My Buttons.
However, I Figure It Out; I Go To Work And Do My Job And Mind My Own Business And By Me Doing Those Things, She Do Not Have A Good Reasons to Fire Me.
Therefore, What She Does Is Tries To Intimidate Me At My Weakest Moments, Thinking That I Am Going To React Stupidly.
We All Know If We React Stupidly, We Pretty Much Can Fire Our Self By Our Actions.
I Told My Sister, People Like That Is Not Worth Me Losing No Sleep Over.
I Also Told Her, That If I Play Into Her Hands Like That, At The End Of The Day I Will Be The One Who Lose And She Will Be The Winner.
However, What I Decided To Do About This Situation Is To Just Put It In God's Hand And Let Him Handle It And Let Her Play Her Game By Herself.
Because At The End Of The Day I Need My Job Just Like She Do.
Do Not Get Me Wrong, Before I Let It Get To Far Out Of Hand, Believe Me You I Will Deal With Her In A Profession Way, If You All Know What I Mean.
...However, I Figure It Out; I Go To Work And Do My Job And Mind My Own Business And By Me Doing Those Things, She Do Not Have A Good Reasons to Fire Me...
Although I don't have a boss like this, I have heard of others who have and I do think your approach is a wise one Sister Nila Nila. It's a good thing that you don't have to see your boss on a day to day basis. (((smiles)))

Wow I thought I had a bad manager. I blogged about this the other day. A friend of mine was having the same issue. The blog is crystalssmith@blogspot.com. Anywho I had a manager that once told me he wouldn't promote me because he felt I should not take time away from my kids. Mind you there were no promotions available but he was just being "proactive". Girl I was sooooo upset I fumed straight to HR. From then on he watched what he said but he would do little things here and there. I let it go and before long I began making other connections and people began noticing his many mistakes. Trust she will reap what she sow. That bs about your vacation is just that. You should look into that because they could be trying to give it to someone else. You were first you should get it. Don't stop fighting that's what she wants. Know your value and remind her of it.
