Would you run a red light - with caution if your mother was dying? (466 hits)

Ryan Moats and his wife were on their way to say their final respects to his mother in law. On the way he rolled through a red light, after checking traffick, to get to the hospital where she was in the process of dying. An officer saw it and kept him from saying his goodbyes. And get this the officer is on paid vacation ooops I mean paid admin leave.

Of course I would have ran the red light. He would have followed me to the hospital. That was so inconsiderate. Some of them act as though they are not human with real feelings. My prayers are with your fam.

You are right. A little compassion goes a long way.

You're right Irma. Its almost as if the officer felt he needed to control ryan. I was upset not only with his incompassion but his tone and manner of speech. This is a grown man facing an event that only happens once. I need to take a deep breath because i'm getting upset all over again.

God Bless

The more I hear about this the worst it gets, because now the gunand the nurce coming out of the hospital to back up this man's story...I hope the policeman is never around when my husband was trying to get me to the hospital with our first child. My husband thought I was having the baby RIGHT then and not just having labor pains. My husband's next stop would have been in a Malitary jail if anyone had tried to stop him getting me into the hospital at that time.

This had to have been a personal (private) esteem judgment on that policeman's mind and not what was legal or not legal or moral or even humane is how I see this matter.
