Pearls of Wisdom DAY 23 (103 hits)

Proverbs 23:1-3

When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee: And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite. Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat.

We often envy those in high places, so we desire to be in their presence. They may be part of senior management in your company or someone who is an expert in their field, maybe a possible mentor. One word from them could catapult your career to new levels. But where is their heart? How do they treat people? Will they take advantage of you? Are they deceptive? If you must associate with these people, don’t be too quick to open up to them. Keep things strictly business and reveal limited personal information. You don’t want to get caught up in a situation that is difficult to get out. Be careful of your associations.
