In life we tend to stay in our comfort zone. It's sometimes a good thing, but not always. What's comfortable is not always good for us. We will never know what we can do it we just stick to what we know. We can't learn and grow as individuals. Have you ever heard this before, You will never know if you can do it if you never try it? The same concept applies to us in our Christian walk.
The Word of God has been searching me out lately and there are still a lot of things that need to come up and out of me. Lately, some of my issues have been coming up and not necessarily out. It's frustrating because that "thorn in my side" is so familiar to me so I automatically do it. I want to be free from those things, but when faced with certain situations it's so easy to draw on what's comfortable. So, I go right back to that bad habit or behavior. It's funny how you know that you are already free from a thing yet you continue to do it. How is that possible, you may ask? It's very possible. We can be liberated from a lot of things, but because we decide to focus on that small thing, we can never look to what's new. We give our issues control over us instead of us controlling them.
God has already given us the authority over these issues, behaviors, habits in our lives through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. We just have to apply that and move one. The problem lies with us becoming complacent and settling for what we know is true in our lives. If we could just change our way of thinking, which is a constant battle, we could overcome all of our issues. We would be able to break out of what's comfortable and truly walk in the perfect will of God. It's difficult to do something when there is an unknown factor, but again, we have to look beyond what we know and believe that "greater is he that is in me than he who is in the world." We can truly do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
So, today I suggest we all do something to become uncomfortable. Do something different. There has to be something that God has been nudging you to do and you feel that you're not equipped, ready, smart enough, or whatever the case may be. To be perfectly honest, I feel that way even right now. I encourage you to trust God and let go of your comfort zone. Step out into that unknown and trust God!
I wish I could give you more, but I am currently searching myself and allowing God to purge me. As the Lord gives me more I will continue to share with you. I have to be replenished and refreshed right now. Thanks for your patience and understanding. This is a season of intercession for me and I am praying for each one of you who are receiving this and many others who are not. I do ask that you say a prayer for me as God is continuing to shape and mold me into what He wants me to be. I pray that this will search you out and find nothing, but if it does, I pray that God will touch your hearts and bring deliverance and liberation that only He can bring so that no one or nothing can ever take it away.
