I just finished blogging on how inwardly focused we are. I was referring to the black business builder's that should have an open door policy to be as inclusive as possible so we can build together a true "village." Asians have it,Hispanics have it, Mexicans have it, and white folks have it. The mindset of looking out for one of their own.
Black folks don't have it.It's "I got mines" with the s on the end no less, you get yours.
It's selfish and you can holler all day long about how God's got your back, and you are blessed and sanctified, and he brought you out of the desert and no weapon formed against me can prosper and let see what else can I add? Blessed and growing in Grace and so forth, thank God that he knows our hearts, and that we may give lip service to the Lord but our hearts are stingy.
We may even give regular tithings, but we give it with "expectation" and not a joyful heart. If we had a joyful heart we would open it up. To be in the Lord also means to not scam your sisters and brothers, to not replay the slave masters teaching to get over on your black family.
The final measure of all of this would be destroying these old harmful habits, ways and attitudes. The best way to overcome one's own pain is to give of one's time , effort and love without an expectation. Obviously a business person expects to be paid for their services,as such..then let's not bring the personal modes into the professional.
Woe is me,help me, I got a problem, can you this ,can you that, Sister Rhonda White the "Innergizer" has a wonderful site for "giving." In her Ministry she has done wonderful things. If you have had a bad situation and you need some assistance her website on the NING network is very caring. I just hope that the few that run game, don't spoil it for the few that are sincere and honest and need our help.
