Boost Mobile Introduces $50 Unlimited Cell Phone Plan (5061 hits)

Today, Boost Mobile customers can enjoy superior value in prepaid wireless services. By switching to Boost’s $50 ‘Monthly Unlimited’ plan, savings can increase up to $695/year when compared to T-Mobile’s $99.99/month prepaid unlimited talk, text and Web plan. Further, Boost Mobile customers can save up to $42/year compared to Cricket’s $45/month unlimited regional talk, text and Web offering, and up to $144/year compared to MetroPCS’s $45/month unlimited nationwide talk, text and Web offering, because with Boost, there are no roaming charges, convenience fees or additional telecom taxes.

Monthly Unlimited is the newly launched flat-rate prepaid plan from Boost, which offers unlimited nationwide talk, text and multimedia messaging, Web and nationwide Walkie-Talkie that reaches more than 274 million people in more than 15,800 cities across the U.S. for $50/month.

T-Mobile’s unlimited $99/month prepaid plan is double the cost of Monthly Unlimited, for almost similar services. Additionally, not only do Cricket’s and MetroPCS’s $45 unlimited prepaid plans ultimately fall short on price when compared to Boost’s all-inclusive offering, their networks fall short in scope of cities and population covered.

“It’s impossible to find an unlimited nationwide prepaid cell phone plan as simple, transparent and worry-free as our Monthly Unlimited offer,” said Neil Lindsay, vice president of marketing, Boost Mobile. “If you’re going to compare apples to apples, it’s very easy to see that Boost’s Monthly Unlimited plan is unbeatable in value.”

“Boost is now at the top when it comes to value in prepaid wireless,” said Matthew Kunkle, pricing analyst, wireless services at Current Analysis. “Not only with the new Monthly Unlimited plan, but with its Pay As You Go deals as well.”

On top of saving customers money, Boost Mobile offers value-plus services
In this economy, wireless consumers are not just looking for the cheapest plans or phones, they are seeking value. And value doesn’t end with price. Boost offers value in many other ways, including:

* True nationwide coverage – Boost customers can take advantage of true nationwide coverage which reaches more than 274 million people in more than 15,800 cities throughout the U.S. on the dependable Nextel National Network, eliminating the constraints of a local calling area. The “nationwide” coverage of over 300 cities claimed by MetroPCS merely skims the surface.

* No convenience fees or additional telecom taxes – With Boost, what you see is what you get. When we say our Monthly Unlimited plan is $50, we mean $50. Customers do not have to worry about roaming charges, convenience fees or additional telecom taxes that can significantly add up, increasing monthly payments.

* Superior Network to Cricket and MetroPCS with fewer dropped calls – Wireless consumers seeking a flat-rate calling plan shouldn’t have to sacrifice network quality for a good price. Cricket has over four times more dropped calls than Boost, and MetroPCS has twice as many dropped calls than Boost*. Additionally, based on an independent third-party drive-test study of the top 50 most populous U.S. markets as of October 2008, there is an imperceptible difference – less than one percentage point – among the dropped call rates of the Verizon Wireless, AT&T and T-Mobile wireless carrier networks and the Nextel National Network.

Nationwide Walkie-Talkie – Boost offers the fastest nationwide push-to-talk network** and is one of the few carriers offering unlimited nationwide walkie-talkie as a standard feature. Digital long-range walkie-talkie capability is built into every Boost Mobile iDEN phone and is the easiest and fastest way for customers to instantly connect with friends and family, all at the push of a button.
