How To Break StrongHolds?/The New Wisdom in Wealth and Health Workshops (907 hits)
When we visit a Doctors office for an examination of some sort. The first thing the receptionist will give you is a form to complete. It will as for your family history. The Doctor wants to know what could possibly be passed down in your bloodline.
Well, the Bible talks about how the iniquity of our fathers can be passed down to the third and fourth generations. That means, (according to Author and Pastor Joel Osteen in his book; Become a Better you), bad habits, addictions, negativity, wrong mind-sets and other types of iniquities can be passed down.
Some of us could be struggling in areas right now because people who came before us made poor choices. Some times we can look back see the results of some of those choices somewhere in our family line.
“We might say, well this is just the way that I am.” “Well, for as long as I can remember it’s always been that way.” “This poverty and sickness has been in my family for years.”
No, tonight we rise up and we say do something about it. It may have been there for years but it does not have to stay there. We can be the one to say,” the buck stops here.”
We’re putting a stop to any of the negative patterns in our family’s bloodline. It may have been there for years, but we can be the one to make a difference. We need to remember that the battle is spiritual. We must take authority over all the strongholds that are keeping us in bondage. First we must recognize what it is, identify it, get it out in the open, and deal with it. As we do we will begin to see God’s blessings and favor in our lives and begin to pass down good things to the next generation. Amen.
We have six- steps God has given us to break Strongholds and keep them broken; Authority; Intercession; Displacement; Resistance; Occupation; and Fortification.
Conclusion: Some things will continue in our Spiritual, Physical, Mental and Financial world if we don’t make a choice to live under the blessings of God rather than a curse. Once we recognize some of these curses that has been passed down it is up to us to decide if we want to take the authority over this thing and say I am not going to live this way any longer. Hosea 4:6 “ My People are destroyed because of a lack of knowledge.” If we know what we are fighting and how to fight we can and will be victorious in Jesus name.
