BOY, 4 YRS OLD , Found at rest stop leads police to slain mother (1441 hits)
Last Friday, a Maryland couple found a 4 yr old boy wandering around a rest stop along Interstate 70 in central Ohio. Authorities said that the youngster said a stranger had entered his home without knocking and shot his mother. The boy was able to provide clear details about his home address and parents' names. Later police found the boy's mother shot to death in her Dayton, Ohio home. The boy was also able to describe the killer. Apparently, the dead victim's car had been stolen a week before Christmas and the information that was in the car lead the killer to where the victim and her son lived. After killing the mother, and taking two computers, he drove 70 miles to drop the boy off at a rest stop. We must continue to teach our children their addresses, phone numbers, and information they may need besides knowing about cartoons and..., "The Cat in The Hat " ! At age 4, they should have pertinent information. Parents, teach your children ! This youngster was able to lead police to his home, where they found his dead mother. Today they have the killer in custody.
At age 4 ,mine knew not only all the numbers, but how to make sandwiches, lock the door and better not look like they would open the door for no one but me ! Santa himself could be knocking, he'd have to remain in the elements ! LOL !

You are on the money with the 911 ! Thanks for including this ! VERY IMPORTANT ! We can tell them about the tooth fairy and all other nonsence. As far as his mother, she was dead for petes sakes !

What a sad thing, but I am so happy the killer had enough decency not to harm the child.

I believe the killer looked at the youngster and saw himself ( same race ), God revealed that part of decency. However, the unnecessay death of Jenifer Hudson's nephew was highly unfortunate, as all murders are. We can only do the best we can when it comes to our children. I wrote a blog a few weeks back regarding the profiles of rapists and attackers. Considering our present times, we need to factor and inform our kids, for it could apply to them as well, not just to women.
And, my sister may I add to teach them how to dial 911 and to never hang up when they do as they can be traced to where they are this way.
Thank you for this post about this 4 year old as all I had heard was how bad a parent was whose child was found like this.
