Now the question is... are there any other black archaeologists out there besides Teresa Singleton! lol I've always wondered this considering I've been in the profession for 5 years. I rarely see people of color, especially women. If anyone knows maybe a friend of a friend it would be greatly appreciated to know I'm not totally out here on my own. It sometimes amazing that people don't know "us", archaeologists, personally. And when they actually learn what you do they are tickled to death just to say they know a real archaeologist!!! LOL Just a thought...for those who have never meet an archaeologists...you have now!! LOL
well?? welcome and why haven't you given me a shout out??? what digs have you worked on?

I'm mostly out in the PA and tri-state areas doing cultural resource management, so for the most part right now it isn't any particular dig any where because the firm that I'm with now sub contract out for different companies to test and remove any cultural resources. We also do private work as well (i.e. Wal-Mart and Police) The most exciting thing i have done so far is excavate a body for the Kokomo Police Dept. out in Kokomo, IN. That was fun, the body was a homicide case and had been buried for about 4 months. The body was still fully intact with little decomposition (so the smell was kind of ruff). But in short there are no really great projects I've worked on that are note worthy (in the media).
