Do you choose to be healthy, or do you leave it up to chance?
Most people want to be healthy. We receive media messages daily about diet, exercise, and chronic illness which are often juxtaposed with fast food advertisements. Sometimes seeing all of this can be overwhelming to the point that it seems so difficult to create and sustain good healthy habits. The result of information overload can leave people throwing their arms up in the air feeling hopeless and exaperated about becoming healthier. Some even go as far to say "I'm gonna die one day anyway" and decide to kill themselves softly and slowly for the rest of their lives.
What do you do? Do you leave your health up to chance, or do you make being healthy an important aspect of your existence on earth? Something to consider...
I do take my health seriously. Although I eat well most times, I do admit to occasionally succumbing to Mickey D's coffee & bran muffins!! I do exercise 3 times a week as well as I walk in my neighborhood with my son on the days I'm not on my exercise regimen.
My husband is to be credited for some of the positive changes in my diet since we don't buy pop & chips anymore! There are always fruits & veggies to snack on.
