We Love you Daddy.......
Wow..those two precious "normal" lovely daughters of our next President. I personally never heard my daughters get to utter those words.
One, because she grew up with her dad , estranged from me and the other who grew up away from her dad estranged from him by his choice
Black men and their children..when a marriage ends some think their responsiblity ends. Yet they are quick to "pretend" to embrace a new woman's children..that is until that breaks up ..and on they go.
These same men,sometimes holding good positions, embrace non-profits created for the care and growth of children, but they don't really interact with their own. Interaction means, teaching, growing, exploring, paying for at least one extra-curricular activity despite paying child support.
The premise that because they pay child support absolves them from continuous real time responsibility with their children is all too common. Fathers need to realize that every new relationship, where the new mate has children of her own then involves a greater effort to bring all the kids involved into a circle of love. I wonder how often this happens.
Serial fathers must have a time with this. Mothers who have children with different fathers face a different challenge, one lessened by the fact that all the children may remain with her and her family.
I loved how Sasha and Malia, a very Hawaiian name, by the way, are so loving. I wish my daughter had had the chance to say, " I love you , daddy."
