I think that she did a superb job with her speech. I've never seen a more emotional atmosphere at a convention than the one from last night's broadcast.
Go Obamas!!!

Michelle gave an outstanding speech, she showed just how much class she has and the strong woman she is putting the reality of everything into persepective. She kept it real and let it be known how strong we are as "Proud Black Women" who can handle any challenge. She will do this world proud as a "First Lady" that she is.

I agree with April, I watched it again this morning and cried some more. She did a WONDERFUL job. A TRUE American family.

The purpose of her speech was supposed to be to introduce the American public to Barack Obama as a person...to talk SPECIFICALLY about him and what he stands for...SPECIFICALLY. How he came to be who he is SPECIFICALLY. I loved the speech and like him, she's a great motivational speaker.

Unfortunately, I didn't learn anything about Obama that I hadn't already heard from him. (I know that's not a popular position). I loved the speech...even cried at one point...but I don't think it served its purpose. Oh, and their children are so CUTE. Goodness.

I think she did touch on a lot that I did not know about Barack and his character...the single parent household...the fact his grandparents had alot to do with his growing up, his imvolvement with the community and the different proposals he has work on and its relevance....
